The start to a fun day!!

Heather Benson took this great picture of Jess & I. It's been fun coaching with Jessica for three years and learning from her. She says this was her last season, which makes me sad. Maybe she'll reconsider?! :)

We took the cheerleaders to Tacoma on Friday after school - got to ride in style in a rented Suburban. I loved it. Thanks for driving Jessica!

There was a competition at halftime to see which school could collect more change for the Special Olympics. Paxton was one of the kids chosen from CHS to collect the change. She must've done a great job because we won!

Then, 12 CHS students got to compete against 12 students from Cascade Christian in a football toss down the football field and back....

The Connell Eagles are the Washington State 1A Football Champions! They ended with a season record of 14-0. What an amazing ride! It was fun to follow, for sure. (Except for the games where we won by a ton and it's colder than cold!)

The team from Cascade Christian fought a good fight and ended their season 13-1, with this being their only loss. It was hard to see them after the game. They were devastated. Poor guys.

It was so fun to get to cheer on the Eagles throughout the season and then celebrate with them when they finally got their hands on that trophy! I'm so proud of them!

They worked so hard all season with this day as their goal. So so so excited for them!

School should be fun this week!!
