...the celebration continues...

The school was abuzz all day today with recaps, excited stories, and congratulatory high-fives for the football team!

First thing in the morning, Wayne told us to go down to the locker room to check out his bulletin board for the team (his idea of scrapbooking?!):

"Things Left To Do For Perfect Season"

Lists Practices (with check off boxes), Games (with final scores),
culminating with THE RING.
(The ring ordering session is already set for Friday at 3pm!)
The State Bracket ---

The firefighters offered to drive the team around town during lunch for a pseudo-parade. I think the boys thought that was pretty special. I even heard that they walked through the elementary school with their trophy. (And the Taco Bus is giving them free tacos!!)

The students got to come out onto the road in front of the school at the end of lunch to cheer on their team as they went by. My camera died right about here. It was so so so cold today and I think my camera literally froze. Once we got back inside, it worked just fine!

(Tonight it's a chilly 5 degrees.)

It's still a good day to be an Eagle!
