.an evening at Cavanaugh Bay.

We met Johnson’s at Cavanaugh Bay one afternoon, spent some time on the beach and in the water, and then went over to the restaurant for dinner. Cavanaugh Bay restaurant is my very favorite place to go on the lake…

I mean, how can it get any more beautiful than this?!

Kamryn came to dinner decked out! She had the cutest bow, but did not want to keep it in. This was about 2 seconds before she tore it out. :)

Nick got tartar sauce with his meal and Kamryn ate it like it was her job. She was cracking us up!

Kamryn entertained us the entire evening – she is at such a fun stage right now and has all kinds of tricks. I love seeing her learn new things – so cute!

She loved my camera – she would put on the neck strap while I held the camera. On and off. On and off.

I think this is the most beautiful view of the lake and has the best sunsets.

When we got back to the house, Kamryn got her second wind before crashing asleep. Mom crawled in this little tent they had to play and read to Kamryn. Pretty cute!

       

Another fabulous day at the lake. Love love love being there with friends!

I can’t say enough how much fun we had at the lake with Johnson’s. Kamryn had a great time in the water and playing in the sand.

  

One of my favorite things at the lake (once the water is warm enough) is to sit in a chair in the water…it is so relaxing. During the year when things get crazy at work or in life and I think about being at the lake, this is what I think of. It’s just the best.

Kamryn and I got to snuggle on the deck one day as she took a nap…

…and this is how she woke up – so happy!

Poor K – this is what happened to her when she fell asleep one evening…Melissa polished her nails and toenails, put her hair in a ponytail, and gave her some lip gloss.

When she woke up she didn’t even know. But she looked awful cute!

I have so many pictures to share from our last week at the Lake, I’ll split them into a  few posts. You’re welcome. :)

I was so so so excited for Nick, Kate, and Kamryn to come spend their week at Priest Lake. They stayed at the Baumann Bungalow at Cavanaugh Bay but we spent everyday playing and having fun. It was the best!

Nick and Kate brought their boat, so it was great to be able to get out on the water and really enjoy the beauty of the lake.

Kamryn and I were boating buddies. She did great on the boat – it usually put her to sleep within 15 minutes!

Nick and Kate like to surf behind their boat. It’s pretty cool to watch! Kate is a pro!

 

We were trying to teach Kamryn to sign I Love You to Kate…didn’t quite get it yet, but it was fun trying!

 

My Mom rode the jet ski around the boat – she had a great time jumping the waves and playing around. So much fun!

 

Kate taught Melissa to surf too – she did great and got up on the first try!

When we got back to shore, Mom took Kamryn on a little spin on the jet ski around our bay. She loved it

  

and especially loved the whistle!

      

A few days later, my Mom brought my Grandma and Uncle Larry up to the lake so Nick took them on a boat ride. 

    

More surfing…

 

This is how Kamryn stayed occupied most of the boat ride. On the wrists, off the wrists, on the feet, off the feet.

  

Nick got a turn surfing too!

Uncle Larry rode the jet ski back to our place with my Mom – sounds like they took a tumble into the water at one point. :)
